Running The First Half Century

Saturn confines a sacred space
For Neptune’s blurred boundaries
Two and a half miles to breakthrough

Patience pens a goal on an old map
Realizing the navigational changes
A half-century in the making

Compass magnets disengage
Attracting uncharted directions
Poles balance in opposition

Laughter in a hurricane
Love in a drought
Vision in a dark reflection

Ions fill empty vessels
Connecting charges to
Reignite a burnt out fire

A Solar Eclipse Cools
The seeds of silence
And shadowed pain

Perfection is the omni present
Gifted to seekers
Who pause to receive it

Laughter in a hurricane
Love in a drought
Vision in a dark reflection

Everything matters
And nothing does
Journey in to live out

Dreams that change
And constantly refine
To smooth hard edges

So the soul can remember
And reminds us
Where we're going

Laughter in a hurricane
Love in a drought
Vision in a dark reflection
