Sun pricks light

Thunder sounds
Roots twist and loosen
Incapable of escaping a
Labored lineage

Honeysuckle dangle from cliffs
Calculating reach versus
Drop of do with a
Pregnant pause

Outside of safety
Rain creates gain
Flooding area until
Fate Floats
